1985年、福岡県生まれ。カリフォルニア大学サンディエゴ校で国際関係学修士号を取得後、2010年中国の経済メディアに入社し、国際報道を取材。2014年から2016年までシンガポール国立大学で研究員を務める。現在はNHKラジオのニュース番組「マイあさ！」でアジア情勢の解説を担当。また、ポッドキャスト番組「Asia Frontline」を始動し、アジアの現在を日本語、英語、中国語、インドネシア語の4カ国語で発信中。  現在は、早稲田大学日本グローバル経済研究所招聘研究員も務める。 

中国と東南アジアとの関係やアジア太平洋地域のマクロ金融に関する研究を行い、多くの国内外メディアに記事を寄稿。Financial Timesにて「画期的な著作」と紹介された著書『潤日（ルンリィー）』は、中国から日本へ大脱出する中国人富裕層を追う内容で、独自の視点でアジアの現状を描いている。 

Born in Fukuoka Prefecture in 1985. After earning a Master's degree in International Relations from the University of California, San Diego, he joined a Chinese economic media in 2010, covering international news. From 2014 to 2016, he served as a researcher at the National University of Singapore. Currently provides analysis on Asian affairs for NHK Radio's news program. Also launched the podcast “Asia Frontline”, broadcasting on contemporary Asia in four languages: Japanese, English, Chinese, and Indonesian. Currently serves as a Visiting Researcher at Waseda University's Institute for Global Economics. 
His research focuses on China's relations with Southeast Asia and macro-finance in the Asia-Pacific region. He has contributed articles to numerous domestic and international media outlets. His book Runri (潤日), described by the Financial Times as a “groundbreaking work,” follows the mass exodus of China's wealthy elite to Japan, offering a unique perspective on Asia's current realities.
